Crankshaft Position Sensor:
The crankshaft timing sensor is a single Hall effect magnetic switch, actuated by three vanes on the crankshaft damper and pulley assembly. The signal generated by this sensor the Profile Ignition Pick-up (PIP). It provides base timing and RPM information to the DIS module and EEC IV module. Initial or base, timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC and is not adjustable.
