Fig. 13 Releasing cowl panel spring clips:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm and blade assemblies.
3. Remove cowl panel attaching screws, Fig. 12, then release four spring clips, Fig. 13.
4. Lift cowl panel upward and disconnect hoses from washer nozzles, then remove cowl panel.

5. Remove nut and washer attaching wiper transmission to wiper motor, then disconnect linkage from wiper motor.
6. Remove two bolts attaching each wiper pivot shaft, Fig. 14, then remove wiper transmission through cowl opening.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
