1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove brake caliper and suspend from coil spring with brake hose attached.
3. Remove stabilizer link, Fig. 1.
4. Place alignment marks on rear control arm bushing and mounting bracket, then place alignment marks on front control arm bushing and control arm.
5. Remove ball joint to steering knuckle clamp bolt.
6. Loosen lower control arm front bushing nut and rear bushing bolt.
7. Remove lower control front bushing bracket attaching bolts and remove bracket.
8. Remove lower control arm rear bushing bolt and remove lower control arm.
9. If necessary, remove lower control arm from bushing nut and bushing.
10. If necessary, replace control arm rear bushing as follows:
a. Using a hacksaw remove rear flange from rear control arm bushing.
b. Using tool No. T87C-5493-B, press rear bushing from control arm.
c. Position replacement lower control arm rear bushing, then press in using tool.
11. Reverse procedure to install. Torque ball joint to steering knuckle clamp bolt to 32 to 40 ft. lbs. When installing stabilizer link, tighten until .43 inch of thread extends beyond nut. Torque stabilizer bar bushing attaching bolts to 23 to 34 ft. lbs. Recheck stabilizer bar bushing bracket attaching bolts torque after vehicle has been lowered
