This is to advise you of a special Ford Motor Company service program (88E75/M65) involving two conditions on certain 1988-model Mercury Tracers. Our records indicate that you own the Tracer described below:

REASONS FOR PROGRAMS

Two conditions are covered by this program: THESE

^ Your Tracer may have engine misfire or hard starting as a result of spark plug wire abrasion.

^ In addition, the bumper covers on your Tracer may become discolored.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Even if you do not have the above conditions, call your Lincoln-Mercury dealer. He will schedule your Tracer for service.

WHAT WE WILL DO

Ford Motor Company is providing no-charge service for the two conditions as detailed below:

^ Spark Plug Wires - Your Lincoln-Mercury dealer will inspect your Tracer's spark plug wires and, if necessary, replace the wires.

^ Bumper Covers - Your Lincoln-Mercury dealer will inspect the front and rear bumper covers and replace the cover assemblies as necessary.

PROGRAM LIMITATIONS

Call your Lincoln-Mercury dealer as soon as possible. He can provide immediate no-charge service for both conditions, however, SERVICE FOR THE BUMPER COVERS IS AVAILABLE ONLY THROUGH SEPTEMBER, 1989.
