OWNER NOTIFICATION PROGRAM 88E75 TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS. CIRCULATE THEM TO YOUR PARTS AND SERVICE PERSONNEL. QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO YOUR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER OR SUPERVISING FORD LOCATION.


TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

Inspection

1. Inspect the spark plug wires at the air inlet tube for proper routing and/or for abrasion.

2. Assure that the routing clip attached to the wires is secured to a mounting bracket located on the thermostat housing bolt.

Inspection and Replacement of Spark Plug Wires

1. If inspection indicates that the wires are abraded, replace the spark plug wires.

2. Assure that the routing clip attached to the wires is secured to a mounting bracket located on the thermostat mounting bolt.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TRACERS INVOLVED IN ANOTHER PROGRAM

Most of the Tracers involved in this program are also involved in Owner Notification Program M65 - Bumper Covers. Refer to the program (M65) Dealer Letter for vehicle eligibility and technical instructions.

Service parts for this program must be ordered from Windsor Export Supply through normal order processing channels.

Claim Submission

Prepare blank claim Forms 1864 from dealer stock of forms.

Only the Form 1864 will be accepted for reimbursement under this program. Upon completion of the required service, the Form 1864 must be completely filled out and signed by authorized dealer personnel.

Dealers must mail the second copy of the Form 1864 for reimbursement. It is important that all claims be submitted for all completed units so that you will be reimbursed and our records will show completion.
