Fig. 18 Oil pan installation:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove under body shield and right hand inner fender panel, then drain crankcase.
3. Remove engine to flywheel housing support bracket bolts at engine.
4. Remove flywheel housing dust cover.
5. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then remove oil pan and gaskets. It maybe necessary to rotate crankshaft to provide clearance for oil pan removal.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Before installing oil pan, apply a suitable sealer across joint lines of cylinder block and front and rear covers, Fig. 18.
