ISSUE: A rough idle or a no start condition may be caused by insufficient clamping force (looseness) of the crankshaft pulley bolt. The loose bolt can cause the woodruff key of the crankshaft damper to shear.
ACTION: Install a new crankshaft pulley bolt which retains its clamping force because of a special thread surface treatment. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 80-87 ft.lbs. (108-118 N-m).
