Two Piston Caliper

Fig. 1 Front disc brake assembly:





1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove brake pads as described under ``Brake Pads, Replace.''
3. Remove fitting attaching brake hose to caliper, Fig. 1.
4. Remove two caliper attaching bolts, then lift caliper from rotor.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Apply lubricant D7AZ-19590-A or equivalent to caliper guide pin bushings. Torque caliper attaching bolts to 29 to 36 ft. lbs. When installing brake hose to caliper use new copper sealing washers. Torque brake hose to caliper fitting to 16 to 22 ft. lbs. After completing installation, perform system brake bleeding procedures, then cycle brake pedal several times to seat brake pads and to ensure system is functioning properly.
