ISSUE: "Rattling" or "buzzing" noises in the passenger compartment may be caused by the center console compartment side wall rubbing against the body of the center console.

ACTION: Remove the tab that extends above the edge of the side wall cover and insulate the cover by applying a strip of felt tape along the entire edge of the cover. Refer to the following procedure for service details.

1. Remove one (1) screw and gently work the console side wall cover away from the console body.

2. Using a razor knife, remove the tab that extends above the edge of the console side wall cover, Figure 4.

3. Apply a strip of felt tape, (E8GY-58044K31-A) on the entire edge of the console side wall cover, Figure 5. Wrap the extra felt tape toward the inside of the console side wall cover.

4. Reinstall the console sidewall cover t othe console body.
