ISSUE: Front seat back movement when braking is caused by the inertia seat back latch allowing forward movement before lockup. The inertia latch/recliner has been redesigned for manual control.
ACTION: Tempo and Topaz two-door units will have manual latch/recliners. The seat backs cannot be released except by the handle located on the seat back, lower corner.
NOTE: The old design inertia latch/recliners used on 1987 and prior model year vehicles will continue to be available for service replacement.
