ATTACHMENT IIEMISSIONS RECALL 93E42
LABOR ALLOWANCE
Replace the Exhaust System Toeboard Catalyst and Electronic Engine Control Processor, Modify the Engine Emissions and Evaporative Emissions Control Systems. Attach Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) and Authorized Modifications Labels. Test Drive the Car to Adapt Processor. Prepare Removed Exhaust System Catalysts and Processor for Return. Provide State of California Vehicle Emission Recall - Proof of Correction Certificate. (Time Provided to Prepare Catalysts and Processor for Return).
1.5 Hrs. - Insert in Box "B" of Form 1864
Note:
Add 0.1 Hr. Administrative Allowance to the total repair time.
PARTS REQUIREMENTS
Parts will not be direct shipped for this recall. Order your parts requirements through normal order processing channels.

PARTS RETURN
PROCESSORS
An FPS-700 Parts Disposition Tag will be issued to recall the removed electronic engine control processors. Return of processors with the FPS-700 tag attached must be shipped prepaid freight to the address on the reverse side of the tag.
Refer to the part return shipping procedure in Section 7.0, of the Warranty and Policy Manual.
CATALYSTS
Removed catalysts must be returned. Prepare and return the removed catalysts by removing excess weight. Cut and discard pipes/flanges as close to the catalyst shell as practical.
An FPS-700 Parts Disposition Tag will be issued to recall the removed catalysts. Return of removed catalysts with the FPS-700 tag attached must be shipped prepaid freight via United Parcel Service (UPS) to the address on the reverse side of the tag.
Refer to the part return shipping procedure in Section 7.0, of the Warranty and Policy Manual.
ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE HANDLING OF SPECIAL SITUATIONS REGARDING REMOVED CATALYSTS SHOULD BE RESOLVED WITH YOUR SERVICE ZONE MANAGER.
EXCESS STOCK RETURN
Excess stock returned for credit must have been purchased from Ford Parts and Service Division in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletin 4000.
