ISSUE: The new rear crankshaft seal retainer used on 1987 engines has three (3) screwdriver slots to allow prying the crankshaft seal from the retainer. The new rear crankshaft seal is installed the same way as prior model year seals.


ACTION: If service is required, remove the rear crankshaft seal using the three (3) screwdriver slots provided, Figure 7.
