ROUGH ENGINE IDLE

1. Incorrect idle speed.
2. Inoperative fuel injector(s).
3. Air leakage.
4. Injector leakage.




ENGINE DIESELS OR IDLES FAST

1. Incorrect idle speed.
2. Air or vacuum leakage.

SPARK KNOCKING/PINGING

1. Improper fuel.
2. Turbocharger overboost.
3. Inoperative knock sensor.

EXCESSIVE EXHAUST SMOKE

1. Leaking fuel injector.
2. Turbocharger leaking oil into intake.
