Removal
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Loosen adjusting nut at adjuster.
3. Disconnect cable from intermediate cable connector located along LH frame side rail.
4. Using a 13mm wrench to depress retaining tabs, remove conduit retainer from frame. At the rear of the fender panel, remove screw holding plastic inner fender apron to the frame.
5. Pull back the fender apron to expose the spring clip retainer that holds the parking brake cable to the frame. Remove the clip.
6. Pull the cable through the frame and let it hang in wheel housing.
7. Lower vehicle and, inside the passenger compartment, remove the cover of sound deadener from the cable at the dash panel. Remove the spring retainer and cable end from the clevis at the parking brake control.
8. Using a 13mm box end wrench, depress the retaining tabs and remove conduit from control assembly.
9. Push the cable down through the dash panel, and remove cable from inside the wheel housing.
Installation
1. Start the cable through the opening in the dash panel inside the passenger compartment.
2. Connect the end of the cable to the parking brake control clevis, and secure it with a spring clip. Press tabbed conduit retainer into parking brake control. Install the sound deadener cover patch at the dash panel.
3. Raise vehicle, and insert the cable through the frame member toward rear of the vehicle. Press the tabbed conduit retainer into frame hole.
4. Behind the fender apron, install the cable-to-frame spring clip retainer.
5. Connect front cable to the intermediate cable connector on the LH side frame rail.
6. Adjust the parking brake
7. Lower vehicle.
