ISSUE: Rough idle, runs rich and/or stall at idle may be caused by the MAP sensor wires (circuit #358) chafing and grounding out on the engine ground strap. A service code 22 may or may not be present during self test.
ACTION: To correct this, reposition the engine ground Strap using the following service procedure.
1. Loosen the engine ground strap attaching screw at the dash panel.
2. Rotate the eyelet on the engine ground strap to point in a downward position so the MAP sensor wires do not rub on the ground strap.
3. Tighten the engine ground strap attaching screw.
4. Repair damaged insulation on the MAP sensor wires as required.
