Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation
The
temperature gauge is the normal gauge when the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position. The relative coolant temperature is displayed by the number of bars lit on the multigauge bar graph. The thermometer symbol designates this gauge and H (hot), C (cold), and NORM (normal) scale markers appear. The driver alert is used if the temperature goes above the normal mark, at this point the temperature gauge will automatically be displayed. The thermometer symbol will also flash. A tone (about 1.5 seconds on, and 3.5 seconds quiet) will alert the driver.
