1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube between air cleaner and throttle body.
2. Remove snow shield retaining nut and bolts and the shield, if necessary.
3. Disconnect vacuum hoses from intake manifold.
4. Disconnect accelerator cable and speed control cable, if equipped, from accelerator mounting bracket and throttle lever.
5. On models equipped with automatic transmission, disconnect transmission valve linkage from throttle lever.
6. Remove throttle body attaching bolts and the throttle body.
7. Remove and discard gasket from lower intake manifold.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque attaching bolts to 15 - 22 ft. lbs. in sequence shown.Fig. 13.
