Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

LEFT SIDE

1. Remove dipstick support bracket and power steering pressure and return hoses.
2. Remove exhaust pipe-to-manifold attaching nuts.
3. Remove exhaust manifold-to-cylinder head attaching bolts, then the manifold.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Prior to installation, lightly lubricate nuts and bolts with suitable oil.

RIGHT SIDE

1. Remove heater hose support bracket, then disconnect heater hoses.
2. Using suitable back-up wrench on EGR tube lower adapter, remove EGR tube from exhaust manifold.
3. Remove exhaust pipe-to-manifold attaching nuts.
4. Remove exhaust manifold-to-cylinder head attaching bolts, then the manifold.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Prior to installation, lightly lubricate nuts and bolts with suitable oil.
