Rear Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

1. Remove transaxle, then the flywheel.
2. Remove rear cover plate.
3. Using a suitable tool, punch a hole into the seal metal surface between the lip and block. Using Slide hammer, Tool No. T77L-9533-B or equivalent, remove seal.
4. Coat crankshaft seal area and seal lip with engine oil, then using tool No. T82L-6701-A, install seal.
5. Install rear cover plate and two dowels.
6. Install flywheel. Torque bolts to values given in Engine Tightening Specifications.
