Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

The following removal and installation procedure can only be performed with the engine removed from the vehicle.
1. Remove bolt and washer from crankshaft pulley.
2. Using tool No. T77F-4220-B1 or equivalent, remove crankshaft pulley.
3. Using tool No. T74P-6700-A or equivalent, remove front cover oil seal.

INSTALLATION
1. Coat new front cover oil seal with a suitable lubricant.
2. Using tool No. T83T-4676-A or equivalent, install oil seal into front cover. Drive oil seal in until it is fully seated into front cover recess. Check oil seal after installation to ensure spring is properly positioned in oil seal.
3. Lubricate, then install crankshaft pulley, washer and bolt. Torque crankshaft pulley bolt to specifications.
