Test 4, Fuel Pump Relay Check

Fig. 5 Checking fuel pump relay:

1. Open hood and remove cover from circuit protection panel in cowl area near left rear corner of engine compartment.
2. Place a finger on relay, Fig. 5, to feel relay click and have assistant turn ignition key to RUN.
3. If relay clicks, proceed to TEST 5.
4. Remove and test relay.
5. If relay tests satisfactory, install in panel and proceed to TEST 5.
6. If relay tests unsatisfactory, replace relay and repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of fuel pumps.
