Test 13, Low Pressure Pump Operational Check

Fig. 11 Checking operation of low pressure pump:

1. Connect jumper wire from pump ground terminal to a clean underbody ground and connect another jumper from pump feed terminal to alternator output terminal, Fig. 11. Ensure that last connection is alternator output terminal.
2. If pump operates, proceed to TEST 14.
3. If pump does not operate, replace low pressure pump, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of pump.
