Installation

1. Position new turbocharger gasket on mounting studs, ensuring that head faces outward.
2. Install turbocharger assembly on four mounting studs.
3. Install turbocharger bracket on two lower studs and, using new nuts, start two lower then the two upper attaching nuts.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Install turbocharger support bracket to block attaching bolt, torquing bolt to 28-40 ft. lbs.
6. Install muffler inlet pipe and retaining nuts, torquing nuts to 25-35 ft. lbs.
7. Install transmission mount center plate.
8. Torque turbocharger lower attaching nuts to 28-40 ft. lbs.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Torque turbocharger upper attaching nuts to 28-40 ft. lbs.
11. Tighten nut attaching heat shield to right engine mount.
12. Connect coolant inlet tube to turbocharger fitting.
13. Connect coolant outlet tube to turbocharger.
14. Tighten hose clamp attaching coolant outlet tube to heater supply line.
15. Connect oil supply tube to turbocharger fitting.
16. Install and tighten oil supply tube support bracket attaching screw.
17. Connect boost control solenoid hose to turbocharger inlet fitting.
18. Connect PCV pipe to turbocharger fitting.
19. Connect air intake hose from vane air meter to turbocharger.
20. Connect ground wire below turbocharger outlet fitting.
21. Connect boost control solenoid hose at turbocharger outlet fitting.
22. Install outlet tube and hose on turbocharger and tighten attaching bolts.
23. On vehicles equipped with automatic transmission, install dipstick tube support bracket on outlet tube and tighten attaching nut.
24. Connect outlet hose to throttle body and tighten hose clamp.
25. Fill cooling system and connect battery ground cable.
26. Start engine and check for oil and air leaks.
