Test 16, High Pressure Pump Operational Check

Fig. 13 Checking operation of high pressure pump:

1. Connect jumper wire from pump ground terminal to a clean underbody ground and connect another jumper wire from pump feed terminal to alternator output terminal, Fig. 13.
2. If pump operates, proceed to TEST 17.
3. If pump does not operate, replace high pressure pump, then repeat TEST 1 to verify operation of pump.
