Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove valve cover.
2. Rotate engine in normal direction of rotation until base circle of camshaft lobe of selected valve is contacting cam follower.
3. Using valve spring compressing tool T74P-6565-A or equivalent, compress valve spring until cam follower can be removed out and over the hydraulic lash adjuster.
4. Lift out hydraulic lift adjuster.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 as required for remaining lash adjusters.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
