A/C & Engine Cooling Fans Do Not Operate

1. With engine coolant temperature above 221°F, A/C and engine cooling fans should operate. If the A/C and engine cooling fans operate at the specified temperature, the system is operating properly. If the A/C and engine cooling fans do not operate at the specified temperature, proceed to step 2.
2. Disconnect wire from coolant temperature switch and connect a jumper wire from wire terminal (brown-black stripe wire) to a clean chassis ground and turn ignition switch to RUN position. If A/C fan and engine cooling fan operate, replace engine coolant temperature switch. If A/C and engine cooling fan do not operate, proceed to step 3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, remove jumper wire and connect temperature switch wire electrical connector.
3. Check fuse links at relays. If fuse links are blown, replace fuse links and check for shorts to ground. After completion of this repair, the A/C and engine cooling fans should operate.
