Emisions Recall 93E39 Summary

RECALL SUMMARY:
This recall provides service for 1986-Model Escort, Lynx and EXP cars not serviced under Emissions Recall 91E17. The service provided under that recall was temporarily suspended when some of the owners of those cars reported engine driveability problems.

INSPECTION/REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS:
Cars with engines having calibration 6-08A-R25, will require inspection to verify the service provided by Emissions Recall 86E55.

Please refer to Attachment III, for inspection instructions.

All cars will have the service provided by this recall.

EPA/FORD MOTOR COMPANY FIELD VEHICLE AUDIT:
Please be advised that the Environmental Protection Agency has informed us that a sample of cars involved in this and Emissions Recalls 86E55 (where applicable) will be audited for compliance with the service in those recalls.

ADDITIONAL SERVICE TO EFFECTIVELY COMPLETE REPAIR:
Contact your Service Zone Manager for direction when cars returned for service require additional service to effectively complete the recall repair.
