Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

Fig. 7 Exhaust manifold assembly:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner tray.
2. Disconnect electric cooling fan electrical connector, then remove radiator shroud attaching bolts and shroud.
3. Disconnect thermactor tube at exhaust manifold, then remove air conditioning hose bracket.
4. Remove exhaust manifold retaining nuts, then raise and support vehicle.
5. Remove anti-roll brace, then disconnect water tube brackets.
6. Disconnect exhaust pipe at catalytic converter, then remove exhaust manifold.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Refer to Fig. 8, during installation procedure.
