SUSPENSION REAR - UPPER CONTROL ARM REAR BUSHING - REVISED SERVICE PROCEDURE

FIGURE 10:

Adesign change to the upper control arm rear bushing, Figure 10, requires the use of new tools to remove and replace the bushing.

Refer to the 1986 Car Shop Manual, Volume A, Section 14-32 for upper control arm removal. When the rear bushing is being replaced, use the following procedure.

FIGURE 11:

1. Place the upper arm rear bushing remover tools in position, Figure 11, and pull bushing out.

FIGURE 12:

2. Using installer tools, Figure 12, install bushing assembly into bushing ear of axle.
