A clunk/pop noise coming from the shift linkage during steering maneuvers may be caused by a binding of the bearing located in the bellcrank and bearing assembly as shown in Figure 5. To correct this concern, remove the bellcrank mounting bracket, apply lubricant, part number C1AZ-19590-B, to the bellcrank shaft as shown in Figure 5, and reinstall the bellcrank bracket.
