EGR Valve - Ported

The ported EGR Valve is operated by a vacuum signal (only) from the carburetor EGR port signal which actuates the valve diaphragm. As the vacuum increases sufficiently to overcome the power spring, the valve is opened allowing EGR flow. The amount of flow is dependent on the tapered pintle or the poppet position which is a direct result of vacuum signal.
