T-Roof Hatch-to-Door
1. Remove the hatch and place it on a cloth covered workbench.CAUTION: Use care during this procedure to prevent scratching of the glass.

2. Remove the inside garnish moulding attaching screws (2).

3. Move the hatch lever to the full release position.
Lift the left side of the garnish moulding and slide it to the right to clear the front latch pin.

4. Remove the weatherstrip attaching screws (2).

5. Peel the weatherstrip tab ends away from the glass and pull the weatherstrip out of the retainer.

6. Install the hatch on the vehicle.
Press downward on the hatch until the drip rail trim moulding on the body and on the hatch are aligned.
Using a grease pencil, mark the location of the hatch weatherstrip butt joint.
Repeat this step at the opposite end.
7. Remove the hatch from the vehicle and place on the cloth covered work bench.
Install the hatch weatherstrip.
The narrow weatherstrip tab has to be positioned at the rear of the hatch (installed position).

Insert the weatherstrip sealing lip into the retainer channel and push the lower edge of the seal into the retainer.

8. Using a plastic squeegee, press the lower edge of the weatherstrip into the retainer.

9. Align the weatherstrip butt joint with the mark made in Step 6 while the hatch was on the vehicle.
While holding the alignment, install the weatherstrip attaching screw(s).
Repeat this step at the opposite end.

10. Apply a 1/4 inch bead of Silicone Rubber Adhesive/Sealant, D6AZ-19562-B, along the mating edge between the glass and latch assembly. Be sure to fill the end of the channel where any openings exist.
Press the weatherstrip tabs against the glass and the bead of sealer applied along the latch assembly.
Do not stretch the tab to the edge of the glass.

11. Position the striker plate covers at the "A" and "B" pillars and install the attaching screws.

12. Install the hatch and check the butt joint gap between the hatch and door weatherstrips.
Slight gaps can be closed by loosening the hatch weatherstrip attaching screws and pulling it toward the body weatherstrip butt joint.
NOTE: Do not push butt joints too tight and cause the weatherstrip to buckle or distort at the butt joint.

13. Apply a 1/4 inch bead of Silicone Rubber Adhesive/Sealant, D6AZ-19562-B, around the weatherstrip tab edge.
Smooth and contour the sealer to match the weatherstrip tab.
Allow the sealer to dry before installing hatch on vehicle.

14. Inspect the alignment between the hatch drip rail trim moulding and the same moulding on the body.
If the mouldings are out of alignment, adjust the latch guide plate.

15. Remove the hatch. At each end of the latch assembly, loosen the guide plate attaching screws.
To move the hatch downward into the alignment, move the guide plate toward the hatch glass. For upward alignment, move the guide plate away from the glass.
16. Reinstall the hatch and confirm the fit, readjust if necessary.
17. Install the hatch garnish moulding.
