Vacuum Test
1. Attach suitable vacuum gauge to vacuum pump port using a T-fitting.
2. Turn ignition switch to Run position and observe vacuum gauge. Vacuum should rise to 23---25 inches Hg (158---172 kPa) before the pump is de-energized.
3. Observe vacuum gauge while an assistant pumps brake pedal several times. When vacuum drops below 18---20 inches Hg (124---138 kPa), the pump should begin to operate.
