The three lower exhaust manifold bolts attach to the cylinder head assembly and protrude into the oil gallery within the head.

To prevent potential oil leaks after the exhaust manifold bolts are installed, always apply sealer to the threads of the bolts (Figure 18). Torque the bolts to 7.0-10.0 N-m for first run down and then 27.0-41.0 N-m for final torque.
