The removal and installation procedure for the ATX transaxle has been revised for the 1984-85 model years. The new procedure recommends the engine and transaxle be separated in the vehicle chassis prior to removal. This new procedure is published in the 1986 Car Shop Manual, Volume E, 17-25-21.
