Driveaway hesitations during high ambient (+ 70~F) cold starts and during drives with stabilized engine temperatures can be improved by installing a new Electronic Control Assembly (ECA).
1. Perform EEC IV self-test and service as indicated by test.
2. New units should be driven 1500 miles before services are attempted.
3. If concern is still evident, install new ECA(12A650) as shown below:

Obtain an Authorized Modifications decal and list the date, dealer number and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications decal. Clean the area, install the decal and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
