Removal
1. Cover front of vehicle to protect painted surfaces and front windshield, 2. Using a #29 (.136") drill bit, with an adjustable stop set at a maximum depth of 3/8", drill out all pop rivets (Figure 5).
3. Using a sharp putty knife, insert under retainer at end and apply pressure to sever the adhesive/sealer bond.
4. Remove all remaining adhesive from roof skin with a putty knife.
Installation on Original Roof Surface
1. Select new retainer and apply a bead of caulk along attaching surface entire length of retainer.
2. Secure the new retainer to the roof panel with the
(6) required pop rivets using the existing holes in the roof skins.
3. Remove all protective covers.
