HOW TO UPDATE EMISSION TSBs

This is the second update of 1984 model year engine/emission calibrations. The 1984 calibrations were originally issued in TSB 83-19A on Sept. 20, 1983 and again in TSB 84-1A on Jan. 3, 1984. This TSB contains the following:

^ A new master index covering all engine/emission calibration TSBs
^ 34 new or updated passenger car calibrations
^ 18 new or updated truck calibrations
^ 5 new or updated diesel truck calibrations

This TSB update is simply a continuation of the first two TSBs, with all page numbering continuing from one TSB to the next. For example, car calibrations in TSB 83-19A ended on page 3-55, and in 84-1A began on 3-56 and ended on page 3-77. Car calibrations in this issue begin on page 3-78.

The key to finding the latest released information on a calibration is the INDEX. Upon receiving this update, discard the index from 84-1A and insert this new index in front of TSB 83-19A. Place the remaining part of this TSB behind the earlier editions. Any time information is needed, refer to this new index for the required page number.


MORE THAN ONE VECI DECAL MAY EXIST FOR EACH CALIBRATION. BEFORE ORDERING A DECAL, CONTACT YOUR DISTRICT OFFICE FOR THE CORRECT DECAL NUMBER THAT MATCHES THE VEHICLE AND CALIBRATION YOU ARE WORKING ON.
