Idle Speed: Adjustments

1982-83 6-200

1. Place transmission into Neutral or Park.
2. Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
3. Place A/C-Heat selector to OFF position, if equipped.
4. Connect a suitable tachometer onto engines as per manufacturer's instructions.
5. Check curb idle speed obtained. If idle speed obtained is not as specified, turn curb idle speed adjusting screw, Fig. 1, until correct idle speed is obtained.
