1. Support engine using a wood block and jack placed under the engine.
2. Remove fan shroud, if necessary.
3. Remove screw attaching fuel pump shield to lefthand support bracket, if so equipped.
4. Remove nut and washer assemblies attaching both insulators to the crossmember, Figs. 1 and 2.
5. Disconnect transmission shift linkage.
6. Raise engine sufficiently to clear the insulator studs from the crossmember.
7. Remove bolts attaching insulator and bracket assembly from engine and remove insulator and bracket assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque insulator and bracket assembly to 40---45 ft. lbs. on 1982 models, 33---45 ft. lbs. on except 1982 models. Torque crossmember nut assemblies onto insulator studs to 70---90 ft. lbs. on 1982 models, 70---100 ft. lbs. on 1983 models, 65---85 ft. lbs. on 1984---88 turbocharged models, 50---65 ft. lbs. on 1984 models, and 80---106 ft. lbs. on 1985---88 models.
