Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Whenever self-locking mounting bolts and nuts are removed, they must be replaced with new self-locking bolts and nuts.
On some 1982 Granada, 1982-83 Cougar and Thunderbird and 1983 LTD and Marquis models, a silver colored flange nut which retains the engine mounts to No. 2 crossmember has replaced the black nut previously used. Reduce torque on this type nut to 50-65 ft. lbs.
