Group III Rear Doors Tempo/Topaz

1. Concern: A gap exists between the belt moulding and the door at front of rear door.

Correction: Remove belt moulding and apply two layers of 1/4"x3/4"x6" long foam tape to the underside of the belt moulding as shown in Figure 20.
2. Concern: Early built units did not include a foam gasket behind the sail cover area on low series vehicles.

NOTE: On low series vehicles the sail cover is an integral part of the door trim panel.

Correction: To check for the presence of a gasket, remove the attaching screw in the sail cover area and carefully pull the top edge away from door far enough to visually check for the presence of the gasket. If gasket is missing it will be necessary to remove the door trim panel to install gasket. Fabricate a gasket by using strips of 1/4"x3/4" foam tape as shown in Figure 21.

3. Concern: A slight gap exists at the top of the division bar "U" channel where it fits into door frame.

Correction: Pull the flocked run assembly out of the door frame at the top of the division bar and apply a bead of black silicone rubber adhesive inside "U" channel as shown in Figure 22.

4. Concern: Existing slit in the upper front corner of the flocked run causes wind noise.

Correction: Pull corner of flocked run out of door frame and apply a piece of 1/8"x7/8"x1-1/4" long foam tape across the slit as shown in Figure 23.
