Removal and Installation

EXC. POWER BRAKES
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect stoplight switch wires at connector. Remove spring retainer and slide stop light switch off brake pedal pin just far enough to clear end of pin, then lift switch straight upward from the pin.
3. Slide master cylinder pushrod and nylon washers and bushings off brake pedal pin.
4. Remove brake tubes from master cylinder ports.
5. Loosen and remove master cylinder by lifting forward and upward from vehicle.

POWER BRAKES
Disconnect brake tubes from master cylinder, then remove attaching nuts and slide master cylinder forward and upward from vehicle.
