Some vehicles with Cold Temperature Activated Vacuum (CTAV) systems and those with Thermactor systems used with catalytic converters, are equipped with a bimetallic temperature switch mounted in the air cleaner housing. The two type switches used may be identified by the connector, Fig. 6. The first type has normally closed contacts, while the second type has normally open contacts.
