When necessary to replace valve lifters, remove cylinder head and related parts as outlined previously. Then, using a magnet rod, Fig. 21, remove and install one lifter at a time to be sure they are placed in their original bores.
When installing, apply Lubriplate to each lifter foot and coat the remainder of lifter with oil before installation.
