Connecting Rod: Service and Repair

Assemble the piston to the rod with arrow or lug facing front of engine and numbered side of rod facing exhaust manifold side of engine, Fig. 9. Check side clearance between connecting rods at each connecting rod crankshaft journal. Clearance should be .004---.011 in.
