Placement of Special Electrical Equipment
(Police Radio Transmitter/Receivers, Sirens, etc.) and wiring too close to vehicle engine control module (EEC or MCU) can result in excessive noise in police radio receiver or can cause vehicle engine to miss or to stall.
All special add-on equipment and wiring should be at least sixteen inches (25 cm) from the engine control module (EEC processor or microprocessor control unit).
Lack of silicone grease on the distributor rotor and cap terminals can also cause erratic engine operation.
