Camshaft Bearing: Service and Repair

When necessary to replace camshaft bearings, the engine will have to be removed from the vehicle and the plug at the rear of the cylinder block will have to be removed in order to utilize the special camshaft bearing removing and installing tools required to do this job. If properly installed, camshaft bearings require no reaming--nor should this type bearing be reamed or altered in any manner in an attempt to fit bearings.
