Vehicles which exhibit stumbles or hesitation on initial acceleration can be serviced by installing a new accelerator pump rod and diaphragm assemblies.


Calibrations 2-14C, 2-14J - T-Bird/XR7

^ Install a new service accelerator pump rod/swivel assembly E1PZ-9F687-A.
^ Install a new accelerator pump diaphragm assembly E2AZ-9B559-A


Calibration 2-14E - T-Bird(XR7)

^ Install a new accelerator pump rod/swivel assembly E1PZ-9F687-A.


Calibration (Altitude) 2-14W - Granada/Cougar

^ Install a new accelerator pump rod/swivel assembly E1PZ-9F687-C.
^ Check/adjust carb idle speeds, if necessary.
^ Add a Modification decal denoting the above changes.






Obtain an Authorized Modifications decal and list the date, dealer number and alterations performed as shown. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications decal. Clean the area, install the decal and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
