Fuel Level

Fig. 4 Fuel level adjustment:

1. Remove upper body assembly, then remove upper body gasket. Install new gasket prior to performing adjustment.
2. Invert upper body, then position fuel level gauge, Fig. 4, onto cast surface of upper body and measure vertical distance between cast surface of upper body and bottom of float. Do not place gauge on gasket.
3. To adjust, bend float operating lever away from fuel inlet needle to decrease setting and toward needle to increase setting. Check and adjust float drop. Float pontoon must be parallel with gasket.
